i was just going to say, You might want to feed it.
you might want to try to ensure he eats by covering it with a plastic basket (like you would have strawberry's in) This will ensure he is eating more and better able to heal

that plastic basket is a good idea, i shut off all my pumps and stopped the flow. and fed all the corals, (everyone else is doing great) but as soon as id move to my next piece of coral, my very impolite fish would sneak up and snatch the food right outta their mouths!

Sometimes once light shock damage is done, it can be tough to turn around. Also, speaking of flow, how much do you have. They have very soft tissue and do not tolerate flow well. Also, alkalinity swings can be quite bad, how are you dosing alk? If it's infection due to tissue damage, it's possible a dip could help, although, sometimes with LPS they do more harm than good... Keep us updated...

 

i dont dose anything, i do a 10 gallon waterchange every saturday, ive been checking my alk every other day since yall said it could be because of swings, and it stays at 9.5 dkh.

I have a frogspawn, some pink acans, a duncan, a trumpet, and xinias, all of those are doing great.

 

heres an update, i think its long gone now.

 

one time I had a cynaria that died because of a bristleworm that crwled into it and died. I know its pretty wierd

 

Just curious, did you ever move it out of the direct lighting?
