    Thats awesome! I love lionfish :) My LFS recently got 2 new red lionfish in their 300 gallon display, and they're awesome. The old red lionfish they had died of age 9 and 10. Those guys were gigantic! I love lionfish, definitely my favorite saltwater fish :) I really like the clearfin lionfish, but dont know if they're suited for aquaria :) Those lionfish you guys keep are gorgeous! Cute little guys :)

    Lionfishes are well-suited as captive specimens, and most are long-lived, mild-mannered fishes.

    Pterois radiata (AKA clearfin or radiated lionfish) is very mild-mannered, even for a lionfish. They do quite well once established, and are a medium-bodied fish, so they will live happily in a std. 55 gal or larger setup. About the only caution I can give would be that they tend to be poor shippers (they're a Red Sea fish), so they sometimes come in a little worse for wear.
