I'm going to buy a 30 or 40 gal tank to put my corals in, due to the crazy bubble algae outbreak in my 75 gal tank. Ugh...

I'm hoping that maybe if I wrap my tank with a dark sheet for a month or more, that maybe I can kill off the bubble algae. My fish most likely won't be happy. But if that doesn't work then I think I'll either keep it a FOWLR, or take that tank down and start over, or go back to having a nano reef tank which I find a lot easier than a bit system...as odd add that sounds. My 75 has never looked anywhere near as amazing as the 10 gal nano I had 8 years ago.

Can't say I blame you. I've got a 10 and 120. The 10 is soo much easier. The 120 is my second job.

Good point zesty. I've seen them munch away at bubbles . I guess some will and some won't.

I've tried one in my nano. It ate all my snails and nothing else. I may try one or a few in my 75 gal, but I've read very little success with emerald crabs eating BA.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Well I have always had good luck with Emeralds, but I have heard horror stories.

And I am huge fan of Nanos, takes me an hour every two week to do water change, vacuum sand, clean all sides and back, skimmer, clean mechanical filtration and general maintenance. I do not have to buy Two Parts by the gallon. Two gallon water change, yeah that's right. :p

I hear ya! While I do like my 75, I did love my nano. Way simpler, less time and corals grew incredibly fast! It was way more stable than my 75 ever has been.

I've actually not heard the horror stories, but I do know of people that don't put them in their tanks.

I've had luck with them, but I didn't have a nano. Could it be that they need a bigger tank with more non-CUC food? Just a random thought...

I've heard of emeralds being fish killers once they have grown some. I've also heard foxfaces will eat it but I don't think there are any will do well in a 75. Bicolor blennies will too, I think, but I'd definitely give that more research.
