video piracy

Heads up our contest videos have been posted under some one else's name on a different web site. i feel its kind of low for someone to take credit for our hard work with out asking.

Actually, you would be surprised at how often it happens. I found some of my pics floating around a few other forums earlier this week. Funny since I don't belong to a lot of other forums :-/ I personally will be watermarking mine from now on (take this as an apology guys).
Now, were the people claiming that they were their own videos or were they just posting them as reference? BIG difference there. When you post a video to youtube, you are giving permission for anyone to use it anywhere. Same with photobucket. So unless it was someone else claiming it was their original work, it wouldn't be piracy at all.

 

I was member there but after this not so shore if i am going to stay.

On photobucket you can set the privacy to private, then no one can copy them.

 

We will remove the video at your request. I dont think anyone was trying to take credit for them, looks like they were just sharing them.
