    I just bought one and was wondering if I havee enough light in my 20 long. I have a Aquatic life 30inch t5 HO dual lamp think that is enough?

    you bought it without the knowledge of being able to keep it or not?

    not sure about a 2 bulb T5. 4 Bulb would probably work. They require intense lighting. If youre going to try, I would place it high in the tank and as close to the light as possible.

    i dont think so, your lights produce about 2watts per gallon and i think clams need 6 watts per gallon

    He is currently sitting hight in my tank about 2 inches below the water line... If the answer was hey you need a stronger light I would buy more light.

    And be careful sitting him up high...they like to move around and could possibly jump off the rock

    And +1 my maxima hated to be up high. Mustve had acrophobia. lol;)

    Your light should be fine as long as you keep high quality bulbs in the fixture, change them regularly and keep the clam underneath the fixture. Keep it on the rocks in as level a spot as possible to get it to anchor.
