i just tried the paraguard for 3 days and had no drop off for my tang diesease aka black spot diesease. i aggitated some of my corals but none of them died. i would not recommend using it in a tank with corals although it had no effect on my inverts

and so i am wondering a few things...if you have a system where your tank water is straight ocean water what could be done to prevent infestations coming in? ie ozone, uv, holding tank? and what is their effectiveness? it would be kind of hard to let the water sit for a month before using it...
my other question is... if i pull water in from a pump source that is located ~2 feet above ocean substrate what are the chances that i am getting the cocoon stage of crypt? just wondering if all the crypt that could get in is free swimming and thus treatable. Thank you very much for your article and responses.
