It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Once every 2 weeks IMO. If the lighting is adequate they should do fine. Sometimes they split when stressed (self preservation) and the clones start out at a dis-advantage and need the supplemental feedings, but twice a week is too often IME, they just can not digest it that fast and may expel the piece and you do not see it and it can cause a bacterial problem. You should see an ammonia spike from decay but you may not.

    Good luck with the fish.

so the flame angel died this morning and I got a good look at her. Her fins were eroded like fin rot without the white on them. Eyes seemed to be glassed over with almost like a white substance growing on them. Did not see any white spots on her but that could be due to the ick meds. Will be cleaning the tank and getting it ready to put my other fish in it today! Just figured id update ya on what it looked like.

how big is the tank?! was there any agression in the tank? any sickness ich what not? sounds like a parasite or agression. if your dosing the meds correctly it would not have done that.

Reef tank bro you cant put copper in there and by the time I got to her she was to far gone. No agression at all bacterial infection or ick either way all the fish came out and went into hospital tank. There currently on antibodies to treat them in 4 weeks tank will be clear of ick. Fish should be cured of ick and they can go back to there home. Tank got cleaned today huge water change so they will have nice clean water to come back to. Will also be putting a 36watt uv on the tank friday. In turn it 4 weeks should kill any bacteria, virus or free floating ich parisites. Not too sure how they got it but they will be watching it very carefully from now on

no open top. Im almost postive that its a bacterial infection mixed with a little ich. My corals are doing great everybody that was left in the tank was ok but I decided that if it was ich the easiest way to take it out was to remove all the fish from the tank and starve it out. There in some nice antibodies right now and if they were not sick they definatly wont be sick when I get done. More of a safeguard than anything.

    Update

So I have all the fish that are left in quarentine they look 100% better my yellow tang looks great and she is swimming around and also have a blue hippo tang in there she also looks 100% better but she keeps like wedging herself under the pvc pipe thats in there. Was wondering if anyone knows why she would do that. I treated them with Rid-Ick not sure if anyone has used that before its made by Kordon. She comes out swims around for awhile but then she either sits up agains the pvc or under it or up against the heater.. she seems like she is getting better she did have some raw spots on her I think from rubbing on the rocks in the DT. She also had some white spots on her that were into her skin. then when I noticed that they were more out of her skin and then yesterday they looked like they were gone. But she still sits next to that pvc not rubbing on it just sits up agains it.

That's great, seems like things are coming back to normal. Please continue to keep us posted. As for your tang, sounds like its just stressed. Continue to keep a close eye on it and hope everything pulls through. Good Luck.
