Started this thread because I want to document the starting of a new 20 gallon nano tank.
While this is not my first nano tank it will be my first reef tank, currently have a 10 gallon FOWLR
I know bigger is usually better and easier with this hobby but do to the small size of my apartment 20 gallon will have to suffice.

My goal is to just take my time and maybe after a year or so start getting into some corals. Nothing crazy but just some relatively easier to keep corals to gain more experience in this great hobby. Thinking maybe zoas and other softies... but well see how it goes.

So far I have tank setup on the stand in my living room, I put about 3/4 of a bag of Live Agronite sand to cover about 3/4 of an inch of the bottom. Added 25 lbs of BRS Reefsaver Dry Rock, Working on aquascaping, started last night while watching the game, but still need to arrange pieces.

Plan on using a Fluval C series HOB filter and also going to try one of those HOB refuge from Drs Foster Smith.

Anyway I will post pics when I get the scape to I point I'm happy with.

    Thanks for looking

I really like that rock. I guess I now know where to buy dry rock whenever i upgrade to a bigger tank.

Thank you, the tank has been cycling for a little over a week now, fishless cycle, probably going to start posting the parameters soon.
