    I am at my friends house looking at his tang he had for a yr. It seem to have come down with something. It looks like ich mix with something else. And ideas? And course of actions for treatment?

    No new fish added
    In tank with him a 6 line , bi color , and goby
    90 gallon

    I really can not tell much from the image. Does it have tiny black spots? It is Black Ich?

    Lol , I didn't forget u Cheryl . Just help him setup a better h. Tank. And I can get a better pic for u.

    But no black spot he dose have a flim over his one eye. And on his face and fin look like the scales came off/ losing its color

    Ahhh and it does it look like Lateral Line Disease? Sounds like it could be a nutritional problem if it's LLD and the eye is clouded, either that or a water quality problem.

    It because he has a hippo in a 90g. Seriously they all look terrible after a while because of stress. HLLE, and other diseases show up once they get decent sized because there isn't enough from for them to feel comfortable. Tell him to donate it to someone with a properly sized tank.

    That exactly what it looks like cheryl, I will have him do a big water change on his DT and put the tang back

    He is upgrading to a 300 in the coming week just have to build the stand, so I wasn't going to beat on him to much for having it in a 90

    I was just reading somewhere that Hippos are Planktonvores not herbivores like traditionally thought. Food for thought no pun intended. Well... it was most definitely intended. I'll be if the tang lives long enough most those symptoms disappear. I bet the HLLE scaring will never heal, but sometimes a good diet with selcon or vitachem or something can reverse alot of blemishes.
