I have 1 plug for my 2-250 watt halides. Mine is plugged in to my #4 slot on the PC4 which is an 8 amp plug. 1 & 4 outlets are 8 amps each and 2 & 3 are 3 amps each. The entire PC4 is only 15 amps total.

Right now with my MH's on it is pulling 3.6 Amps.

Ok so I have another question yamaha. To dose Alk you say you use a timer from the RKL with a pump, is this a special pump? Could you please elaborate on this set-up. Also, how does the RKL work with an ATO. Do you merely need to go to Lowe's or Home Depot and get a float switch and a bucket and you're good to go? Could you also explain this to me please?

Yet another question sorry for the inconvienience. Just spoke to the place I purchased my RKL asking if I could return the unit for a RKL lv 3. Was told by the CS rep that the lv 3 was maxed out and that I couldnt add to it, but you have an extra PC4. So just to be sure, can I have the RK head unit , SL1, and three PC4s hooked up simultaneously? ( From reading your thread this seems obvious but the guy on the phone said otherwise so just making sure)

The way that I understand it is 4 inputs...in any combination. So yes, the SL1 and 3 PC4's would be possible. 4 PC4's with no SL1 as well.

    The dosing pump:
I use a Bulk reef supply dosing pump. its a 1.1 ML a minute pump

    The ATO:
I have a float switch hooked with an adapter plug that hooks in to my SL1 switch A. program the ATO the way I explained. I am using an aqualifter pump and a 5 gallon bucket. run the tubing to the pump and to the sump. I redone my float switch and put the float in a pipe and siliconed both ends so water wouldnt get into the connection.

Here is a float set up.

Yep, I have 3 PC4's and an SL1 hooked up. I bought the extra PC4 and it come with the wire. I plugged it in and programmed it. Havent had any issues so far.

BTW.....It does look kinda messy around my stand with all the extra pumps and buckets hooked up. Hopefully this week my cabinet maker will have my new face front built for my stand and it will hide all of it :)

Yeah you can have four modules plugged uti the unit in any combination. I have the sl1 moonlights.and to pc4s. I believe you can still do the upgrade deal where you can trade in re light for credit towards the elite. I think hu do it on digital aquatics website. I know I'm going to need to do it soon lol.

I've had one for almost three years, it's a great little device. You'll need to change the temp probe at least once a year. They don't tell you that they wear out just like the PH probes. Mine went bad last year and drove the temp up to 95 degrees killing several fish and coral. I now use the a heater with it's thermostat AND the temp probe. The alarms are great to use, but if you're not home they do little good. Having a little redundancy will go along way.

I've seen the same problem with a friends controller, he's in the same boat as you with the thermostat and temp probe. :)
