Reef-A-Palooza bound

I'm looking for any suggestions on "must see" things. Corals to look out for. Equipment?

 

First, congrats on going to one of the coolest events in this hobby, your gonna love it. My strategy is this.....If you see a rare coral that is a must have and you dont see many of them then snag it. The last hour on the last day is where you can really find amazing deals. Go both days if you can because there is so much to absorb. I can't wait until it's back in orlando.

 

Thanks for the great tips DSC. Unfortunately, I won't be able to go on Sunday but I will be on the lookout for good corals. I want to assess the guyre power head and look into getting a calcium reactor and controller as well as take in a couple seminars. Oh, and lots of pics.

 

well, have fun you lucky duck! I've never been to an event like these - I would have to guess to follow dsc's advice - if you see something that really catches your eye - snag it because more than likely if you don't, you'll have buyer's remorse. I have experienced that multiple times over the years and not just with "reef" things - when shopping on vacation and seeing something unique and not getting it, etc......

 

Sound advice OFK. That brings back some memories of things I wish I'd picked up along the way.

Sounds like a good excuse to go to sunny California.

 

I believe I will be heading out there on Sunday. I was there one day last year and I had a blast!
