Some equipment you might want to look into for taking better pictures would be a nice Tripod and remote switch. I always use a tripod because sometimes when you need to take a good picture in low light conditions, you must slow down the shutter speed, and if the camera isn't mounted, you'll get a blurry picture. Also, the remote switch is nice because it will eliminate the shake when pressing the shutter button on the camera. You could use a timer, instead of the switch, but that will be harder taking pictures of moving objects like fish.

I think I read somewhere that for a professional photographer it takes 700 to 1 for a money shot. That's why they take so many. Money shots are really not very common and you really have to have a good eye, good luck, descent eq, and patients! Here's one I just took with the use of a tripod(1st pic) vs without(2nd pic). Moon lights on and filters turned off. I'm feeding my babies.

1/700??? --- guess that is why I am not a pro. Am much happier with far less.

Guess my standards are not so high. :-/

I heard if you take pictures downwards at the tank it removes some of the reflection that you get from your lights, which is a common problem when taking photos of your tank. That way you get a better background as well.
