So today I got a shipment of erectus from seahorsesource.com and one seahorse took right to eating basically. The other has been a bit more shy. She hasn't eaten yet (that I know of). I came in a few minutes ago to find bristles sticking out of her mouth. She has (while I've been writing) gotten rid of them. But could she have hurt herself on a bristle worm when I left the room? Or does this mean she's started eating?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Probably picked at a bristle worm, my fish did the same thing, the spines dissolved within a day or two with no residual damage.

Good Luck with your new Sea Horses.
