My clowns just laid eggs and they are being very protective of them. What do you think the chances are of them surviving? slim? or nun? ::) What do you feed baby clowns just incase? :-/............. John

If the eggs are left in the tank I would say slim to none. I'm not sure but I believe you start with rotifiers and then BBS.

I'ld say between slim and none unless your fetermined to raise them and get somewhat lucky. If they are on somehing removeable i would isolate them in another tank with good water flow and very little algae growth. If they do hatch in the tank they will surley be eaten or taken in by the filtration. as for feeding usually only rotifers will do. rotifer cultures can be made with a 2 liter bottle and some light along with a purchased rotifer culture. aside from that not much else will fit in a clown larvae's mouth.

Thanks all That is what I thought. ::) Maybe I will try the next time they lay there eggs as I don't have anything to put them into now and I don't have anything to feed them, So there survival is as I thought slim to none :p ............... John

Hi Craig here is a picture it isn't very good but it is the best I can get for now. The clowns seem very nervous today and they are being especially protective of there eggs even from the Colt Coral as you can see they have it retracting quite a bit today and that is why I was able to get the picture. I wish I had something to feed the baby clowns if they hatch, But they will probably get eaten or sucked into the filter any way, That is sad :'(

It's my understanding they only take about 7 days to hatch out so......perhaps they are ready!
