    Best things with clams is stable water conditions and decent flow over them. They also appreciate a lil bit of nitrate (5-10ppm) in the water. Once they settle in watch your calcium alk mg they can use it up fast!
    They all appreciate bright light leds or haldies, even t-5 if you keep them near the top. Biggest downfall to them is people moving them around too much. The clam will move to where it likes. If you move them around too much it stresses them and they tend to die.

    I just got a baby orange maxima that is looking great. I gotta have you come take some pictures for me! Whats your favorite current clam.

    I have a fish only tank. Live rock too. Do I need special lights for a clam? Always wanted one

    Yes you need the same type of lighting that will sustain and grow corals.
