Here is an interesting development: I've never seen the film Nebraska (thought I have heard good things about it). I have been offered a job in Nebraska (Omaha specifically). I've never been there so maybe I should watch it to prepare for my move.

well Bob, I'm thinking that watching the movie in black and white won't help sway you one way or the other :) it's mainly set in a small town with farms.

I bought Saving Mr. Banks and I thought is was an excellent movie. I also got Mary Poppins along with it and my 3 year old loved it. I think he is like his dad and likes musicals.

a manly man that likes musicals! an unusual combination :) I'm sure your 3 year old loved Mary Poppins. It's so funny how many of those songs from that movie, I knew by heart without even realizing it. I can't recall seeing the movie that many times. Just goes to show the power of those song writers.

Saving Mr. Banks contains so many elements. I think one of the most profound is the impact of a parent's love and attention on a child.

there have been a very few musicals that I've liked and they usually were animated. I respect all genres :)
