So, I found a thread somewhere that someone was trying to get a cell phone shot of their corals under the blues/actinics to get that pop of the glow you can see from the coral. So, the procedure is, turn your flash on, take a picture, then (without moving your camera) turn the flash off and take another picture. The idea is the flash helps the white balance in the camera. So I've been experimenting. This is the best one that shows the color "glow", to me anyway...

Do you fellow reefers think this pulls in some of the color pop that you get from the blues?
    thanks!

cool, I know the rest of the picture is still blue as heck. I'm glad the part that glows is "glowing"

I'll have to post a few others I've tried.

I've gotta try this. It's so frustrating because I want to share what I see with everyone else.

That's exactly my frustrations as well! It looks so slick under those blues, then the picture looks NOTHING like what is in there.

I have a couple more I grab and throw on here.

ok, here are all of my attempts. The GSP is blurry, but the rest are ok. no post processing, you can tell the coralline is purple not blue. The corals themselves look pretty darn close to what I see with the naked eye (yes, I'm wearing clothes)

If you look closely, you can see 3 yellow polyps, this was originally bought as a rainbow monti, but lost its rainbow when it got to my place. I still have hope...

The favia never looked orange until these lights. It's amazing what different colors come out under the blues.
