I did not have one of these fish when I did the fish of the month, I have only had mine about a month or so. They are worth the wait.

not sure whether you can put 2 females together or not but I do know that I honestly wouldn't put more than one mandarin in a tank that is less than 150 gallons or so due to the pod population. 2 of these will wreak havoc.

Just thought I'd share. IMO keeping one of these is probably one of my greatest accomplishments in this hobby. Just hit the tank with the flashlight to see what was going on. Sometimes my g. mandarin goes to bed early and sometimes not. Tonight he's awake and tearing it up. He's definitely got some strange eating;)/sleeping habits.......

I have no sump and my pysch has almost doubled in size in the last 3 months. Looks nice and fat and couldn't be happier.

Everyone says that you need to have a well established aquarium but the 2 or 3 I have had have always eaten the food I give my other fish... I use a turkey baster and put it right up next to them and the food is blood worms which they like the most and mysis shrimp and the other shimp I forgot the name.

Well I have had my tank for about 3 years and through 2 or 3 moves they just dont survive if I move and did something wrong or I also had my system crash once.
