Maybe a hardware store with a piece of slate.

Any type of craft store. Maybe you can find a glass shell keep it clean let it turn purple.

Walmart Lowes homedepot Micheals target small town glass maker kinda store anywhere they cell bathroom Tom stuff maybe you can find a glass one there. Maybe even to that restaurant I'm sure they toss them and will Cater to an odd fish tank request to help a patron of there fine oyster serving restaurant lol

With all that being said don't worry these clams live on rocks there whole life basically if you put on a rock it will only jump if not enough light that's what it wants so put it in middle and let it hang out.

I may break off a piece of my rock in my tank, when i acclimate him to my light/tank do i need to put him in the sandbed with a rock underneath so he can attach or can i just put him in the sandbed and put a rock under him later?

Also can i touch his shell? to move him and whatnot or is that a no no

Start with the rock beneath it. You do not want it to attach to the tank bottom.

I have 2 maximas and 2 croceas in the sand. One of my crocea doesn't have a foot, and hasn't for months now (it was free). I do however have some rock in the sand, but both my maximas moved off of it.
