Is my nem already gone?

I'm not to sure about that? I will have to do a little reading.....? I'll let you know what I find.

 

I have done a quick Google search and it goes both ways. I would take it out and see? If it where me I would run some more carbon and try to find what is causing the ammonia spike. You are doing great and truly I can tell your concerned. Hope I have helped and not hurt.

 

I doubt the rusty screw did much damage...though again it would be nice knowing how it got there....sounds like you have a poltergeist urinating in your tank and throwing garbage in your sump...

Lol!!!! Nope I know exactly how it got there. I dropped it! But thought I had found it. Lol

 

Ok, it's still kicking! Mouth is actually closing much tighter. Ammonia is down to 0 again. I've cut WAY back on my feeding. Here a pic. He is small right now, but is opening bigger through the day. Mouth still has a little gape, but nothing like before!!! Yay. I think he's on the mend.

 

I threw in an extra carbon bag. I think you've been awesome. Thank you very much.
