After giving "like" a try, i have to say I prefer karma. Just seems more appropriate. No big deal, just sayin..

Yeah, karma had it's perks, like seeing that insane number under my name :D, and the ability to add and receive comments about the posts. It did have one annoying quirk, though- if I were following you on the board, for example, and you made two outstanding posts in two separate threads, I could only give you karma for one. If I attempted to give it for the second post, I received a pop-up window warning me that I had to "spread the love" before giving you karma again. With this system, I can 'like' all the posts I want for the same member in the same thread without the need to search out someone else's 'like'-worthy post(s) in between. I also kinda like seeing on my posts how many and which member(s) 'liked' each one. With karma, you didn't receive notification, and you had to go to your profile to see who gave it and for which post each time you noticed that it had increased.

I know we're a winery unappreciative bunch, but I liked karma too. It was nice being able to look back in history. Likes have their perks too, but the old threads get lost.

Perhaps you're not looking in the right place. Just checked mine, and I have 32 pages that date back to my very first day on the forums here. At the top right of the page, hover on your name. On the right side of the drop-down menu, select "Likes you've received".

I just thought Matt might be getting bored about now and wanting a new project.

Okay, so clearly I'm the winery (damn autocorrect) bunch. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

I like "like". When I first started on the forum I was embarrassed at having no karma when everyone else had these insane amounts. It was intimidating.
