    I have a 75g added live and dry rock. No fish yet. The water is finally testing okay but now I find this paper looking stuff growing on the LR and I have no clue what it is or what to do about it. It almost looks like paper towel pieces but it's not.

    It could be areas of the rock just bleaching out. When did you add the rock? Are you running your lights? By the way... welcome!

    I had them for less than a week in an aquarium that was cycling for a month. I went ahead and scrubbed the stuff off. Thanks for responding.

    could be the start of a few sponge colonies hard to tell from the pic. no action required imo

    No worries. Just typical new tank type finds. I'd guess you'd have a few more threads asking for what things are and what to do about them here in the near future. Keep reading and asking questions.
