Just because it is not moving or eating anything does not mean it is going to die. What kind of lighting do you have and what are all of your tank parameters? Most anemone gather most of their energy from light so they don't need to move around catching food all of the time. This may be a dumb question but have you done any research yet?

The lights are 4- 65 Watt bulbs, 2- 12,000K daylights and 2- true actinics and 8- led Blue Moon lights ... i havent tested my water mt lps did when i bought the anemone, they said everything was good apart from calcium which was a bit to high.. but i'll text everything myself tomorrow and post them.... i didnt do alot of research which i know is my mistake. i was just thinking since my tanks been up close to 7-8 months i'd be good with it...

Ok I was afraid of this. Your lights are insufficient to maintain that anemone. If you don't test your own water you really should not have an anemone. I would take it back because of these reasons. It doesn't look bad now but due to the slow metabolism that anemones have it could take months to die.

honestly, you'll most likely kill that anemone if it already isn't too late, law of averages and all that, if your pet store is even remotely conscionable..{spelling}lol they'll atleast give you half credit for what you paid{it was your mistake to buy it remember) if you had taken home a condy i'd be sending you to walmart for clipon lights! so i apologise if i came off like a jerk there but you THAT anemone is not one to learn with...do the right thing for yourself and your tank and return it, if its mouth is gaping even a talented/learned reefer who already had the proper equipment would most likely lose it inside of a few months, read up,if you still want one,, you will! they're the coolest things on the planet! get one further down the road, anemones are rock stars, they're incredibly simple yet incredibly complex, they're pretty rugged but if there tank isn't set up specifically for them they'll die even when purchased healthy.

i didnt notice what size tank it is but if its 75 or under i'd say at the very least 150 watts of metal halide ontop of the lights you have. and then as far as anemones go,you'll be able to make a more informed decision after another six months of reading and observing your tank, without making changes, wich anemone you might get lucky with

Also sabae anemone are a bit more difficult to keep then some of the others. Once you have proper lighting and tank accomodations you could start off with a condy or bta if you really want an anemone. I am glad that you decided to take it back. I think it is the right thing to do.
