Just got this tank set up plumbed and now it cracks at the corner on the bottom at the Bulkhead. Can it be saved or did I waste 300 on this tank IMG_0561.JPG IMG_0562.JPG

Was thinking I could put plywood under the bottom and us it as a brace like they do in wood tanks

I wouldn't be able to sleep knowing there is a crack, may want to scrap that thing. Bummer

Top of the tank...not a heck of a lot of fluid pressure. I'm 85% sure you won't get yourself into too much trouble if it isn't already leaking from the crack. That said...If you accidentally touch those bulkheads again, all bets are off. The glass cracked because there was a small fault in the hole that was ground and when you screwed down the bulkheads they over torqued and a crack propagated.

Bad idea.About the only thing that tank might be good for is a lizard or snake.

Think after watching you tube. I'm going to take it apart and us everything but the bottom. I'm going to build a bigger plywood tank and use the glass for sight. Anybody Got pros and cons on that
