Help i think my clam is dieing!

    My maxima is doing fine at the bottom of my tank under LEDS on a piece of LR. Maximas will extend more when put on LR. Unfortunately FW can be hit or miss sometimes, if your clam has pmd its usually too late to do a dip, and many times the dip can stress the clam further, doing more harm then good if its not PMD. Regardless, good luck, i hope your clam makes it.

    i came home from work a few days ago and the clam was gone all that remains is his shell on the bottom of my tank. i am probably going to leave it there :(

    This may be a dumb question but can a clam get to much light?

    Is it possible that it was shocked from excessive light (Too much PAR)?

    HEy Chris,

    Nah, pretty sure they can. My maxima definitely jumped ship when I amped my lights up from the LR to the sandbed. She seems happier down there for sure!
