I don't think there is such a thing as "treatment for ich" it is up to the fish's immune system to fight it off. Like I said before, ich will always be present in a tank. Parasites are generally present on most fish at very low levels at all times.

The fish controls these by how strong their immune system is. If their immune system is weak parasites increase in numbers and that's when it's too late for the fish to fight them off.

All I'm saying is that it worked for me. Early detection is the key for herbtana to work. If your fish is fully covered with it, breathing hard, dashing, hiding then I think it's safe to say that the fish will not survive. What have you got to lose?

I know there are a few ways to get rid of it but that would kill my corals and live rock. I am just trying to not have to get a QT . I am getting one at the end of the month. I am new to Salt Water so any info anybody can give me would be great.

So you are saying that copper and formalin and hyposalinity do not kill it? Killing is treatment.

Please provide the research, that is all I ask regarding the effectiveness of this product and not research that was created by those that sell the product.

By all means try it but know it's limitations.

What ever works, everyone in this hobby have their own way. I am merely suggesting other options.

So are you saying that by using copper, formalin, hyposalinity that you are absolutely 100% that you've killed all the ich?

That's all I'm saying just try it, Didn't mean to start a debate on this issue. I guess ich is a touchy subject. I apologize if I have offended anyone in this forum.

I know that it is a hot/touch topic and I mean no disrepect. There is a vast amount of research that proves Marine Ich is indeed erradicated by the appropriate levels of copper or formalin or hyposalinity, never use any in combination.

When peope like Eric Bormen state " There is no other treatment that you can add to a tank, NONE" I tend to listen. And he is only one of many experts. The research is easily available and really needs to be reviewed when considering treatment options.
