Are you letting the newly mixed salt sit over night at least?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !

Yes you need to let it completely mix and that usually mean letting it sit over night at least. :)

It may look mixed in some cases in an hour or so but it's not.

I agree with what everyone is saying....

Definitely get more live rock (cured) in there. The live rock helps filter the tank. Look for rock that is lighter, so for 20 pounds you get a lot of rock, instead of one huge rock. Scape in some nice caves and hiding spots for fish.

Don't add any more fish for some time. You were probably overloading your immature tank too quickly with all those fish and not enough biological filtration.

Lawnmower blennies are better for mature tanks - they can easily starve.

White moving things on the glass are pods, and they are good!

I'd stay away from sensitive inverts, like shrimp, for quite some time as well.

I'd also quit buying fish from Petco. Not knocking Petco, but if almost all your fish from one place die, try a new place.

http://aquaticwildlifecompany.net/ going there today after work to get 20lbs of cured live rock. It's the closes to where I live. Still about an hour away. Been there once but did not buy anything.

I'm going to wait on any more fish for at least 3 months.

    In the tank now.
    1 Yellow tang
    1 cleaner shrimp
    1 star fish
    3 hermit crabs
    3 turbo snails

Should I get more sails or crabs?

When I get the rock and get in the tank I will take out the sub. I will update a photo of the tank when I get it done so that you guys/gals can tell me what you think.

I really appreciate all the help.

i dont know if you are or whether you know but when you first mix saltwater it will deplete oxygen levels in it so its best to leave it mixing over night with a powerhead aerating it just a small tip

As a general consensus people tend to avoid petco since the quality in their system don't seem to be too good which is not always true but for the most part petco systems are not very healthy and the workers don't know a whole lot at all, always research and never listen to any LFS worker until they have proven they are trustworthy enough. Good luck with your tank and keep us updated :)
