Could we have baby Coral Banded shrimp

Hi everyone,

Sorry its been so long since i posted, but I have been very busy. Our tanks are doing great. I know, I need to update my photo's!

At Christmas my sons tank went to soup after the temp went up and the corals passed away. We managed to save the fish and believe it of not the sea apple and cucumber survived. We were lucky.

Since then we sold his set up and purchased him a new tank with a chiller, MH lighting and the works.

While we wee establishing the bio filter we had all the live stock in our QT, including the breeding pain of Coral Banded shrimp.

The tank was emptied of live stock a month ago and 3 weeks ago i noticed a large amount of very small fry in the QT. I have been feeding them ad they have grown very quickly and look like little CBS.

There would have to be a at least 50 of them swimming around and I am feeding them daily and watching them grow.

Is it possible that I have bred CBS? and if so what do i do with them all?

 

are they easily distinguishable as cbs?
What is an approximate size?

They are mysid shrimp. Do a google search and see pictures of the various kinds. Most look like miniature cleaner shrimp, with colour variations from clear or opaque, to some with red on the body.
One normally finds them in a tank with live rock and corals with skeletons and they LOVE small rubble piles. Excellent eating for many fish. Mandarins don't normally eat the adults but love the small slow moving nauplii.

 

+1 with them being mysis shrimp.

 

way to shatter this guys hopes lol. They could be CBS, I hatched some in my tank but never bothered with trying to keep them alive..I was more worried about my 2 scooter dragonets getting fed.

 

They have grown to the size of my little finger nail and have very long tenticles?
