I have a buddy who is forced to take his tank down. He said it crashed out of neglect.
Regardless, he has a pair of false perc ocellaris. I have a pair of false perc ocellaris too. He wants me to take his too.
I know False O's can house with false O's but, his pair are established. My pair are much larger and very well established.
Generally we like to put them all in at the same time to establish one breeding male and female no matter how big the herim is. This is a different scenario for me.
    Definitive knowledge helpful.
Does anybody know if this is a problem?

Personally, I wouldn't risk it unless you have a large tank (75g+). 2 established pairs in close proximity is a recipe for disaster.

I have 100 gallons. Tons of rock and hosting places. Like I said, if they are not likely to get along....I can't do it.

    It's a risk. There's no denying that.

I wouldn't risk it... It might be a happy ending BUT there is more of a chance it being a disaster

I told my friend I'm not gonna do it. It's riskier than I'd like to deal with. If they were all added at the same time it wouldn't be such a big deal.

We like to believe that, but it's not entirely true. If we're lucky it may work, but every fish has it's own personality. CIP, I once purchased a pair of juvie Percs. I choose them because they seemed to be hanging out together and getting along so well at the LFS. They continued to do so in my tank until they matured, then the female killed the male. I added another male later, but she killed him, too. Oddly enough, she never bothered anything else.
