My clowns have now laid eggs twice in the past 2 weeks. Is there anything I can do to take the out and try and hatch them?

they need rofters as fry try taking out the rock the eggs are on and putting them in a bredding tank water should be about 82 the hatch at night in like 8 days. you can buy dried rofter eggs and hatch them every day to feed your fry in about 4 weeks they can eat baby brine copepods are great to have aswell if u cant take out the rock... this could hinder your clowns from ever breeding again at night shine a flashlight at the top of the tank they will all gather there you can then catch them in a bowl dont use a net they are very fargile

you sure can but it requires a seperate tank, two types of food. rotifiers when they are newborns then brine shrimp when they get a bit bigger.

I suggest putting a tile next to there breeding spot if your lucky next time they breed they will use it to put the eggs on

Definitely try to use the flashlight method first. They should hatch about an hour after lights out but make sure the room is completely dark for that time. Also during this period you should turn off all pumps because the fry can't handle heavy current.
Rotifers must be fed nanoclorapsys. The water they feed in should be tinted a light green. Also use an air pump with rigid air line that goes to the bottom of rotifer bucket. Don't use an airstone, only need 1-2 big bubbles per second. Temp needs to be 80f
The fry bucket/tank needs to be black so the fry can more easily see and feed on the rotifers. Rotifers need to be scooped out with a special net or coffee filter which you will rinse off in the fry tank. The fry water must be changed very delicately every day. Do two 5-10% water changes everyday. Use air line tubing with a long rigid piece on the end as a syphon. Syphon the old water into a bucket or jug you can examine for fry who were sucked in.

The only problem taking them out now is that the eggs are under a RBTA. Would it be better to take the clowns out and have the lay eggs in a breeding set up? These are black onyx clowns so I am very exited to get some babies.

I remember the silver eye last week and they were gone the next morning, after they hatch do you need the clowns for anything or is it in your hands from there.

The Eggs hatched last Friday and wasnt able to get them, waited until 3am and nothing. woke up and they were all gone. Yesterday noticed the female had laid eggs again in the same spot, if I take the clowns out and put them in a breeding tank will they still lay eggs as frequent as they are?
    Thanks
