I sent a PM to Mike yesterday, but I realize it's a popular week to take a vacation.

    So here's my dilemma:

I'm about to upgrade my skimmer/sump, and have decide on a SWC skimmer, but can't decide on the model.

I have 110-120 gallons of water volume at present, but I'd like a skimmer that would still serve me well if I ended up near 150 gallons of water volume in the future. I keep mostly hard corals (SPS/LPS), and I feed small amounts 3 times per day. I do maintain zero nitrates/phosphates. I typically keep 10-12 medium-small fish, mostly wrasses, at all times. I see my bioload as medium-low, but I'm not sure if that might be a false assumption.

    Models I'm between:
Original 160 Xtreme (can someone provide dimensions on this guy if it's the best option?)
    160 Xtreme Cone
    180 Xtreme Cone

Obviously I'd rather not waste $100 on the 180 if it's overkill.

    TIA

The 160 cone is up to 150G at minimum bioload. I would go with the 180 because you want a skimmer rated at 2 times your total water volume. the 160 would work, but the 180 would work better for you in this situation.

Agreed on the 180, I have the 160 on my 75 gallon with sump. And have a pretty heavy violist, it keeps up and pulls an incredible amount of goo from the system but if you can fit the 180 in it would be even better, I empty my cup every other day!

I would say your load is medium heavy to heavy and agree on the 180.

The 160 is not enough. While the 180 may be a good skimmer, I would not buy one with a psk2500. There are better options.
