    Bryopsis

Tangster you must have the worst case of bryopsis ever?
It sucks. I truly think also it never goes all away once you get it in your tank I think all that can be done is to keep it under control.

Rat poison? The rats in NY have built an immunity to it. All it is is blood thinners that cause internal bleeding till the rats die. Now they survive on eating rat poison LOL.

Yup. They never counted on the NY rats eating deli all the time. After enough corned beef, pickles and potato salad; blood thinners could only help! LOL.

    Bryopsis

I still have a little bryopsis on a couple bottom rocks and learned not to manually remove it. I started feeding a little frozen every other day. I also use phosban in my power filter and add kalk to my top off water which I add morning and night. Ph is still 7.9 - 8, Alk is 10, 1.025, temp is 77 calcium is 420. No No3 or PO4 detected. I might add some more snails. Any other suggestions before tearing down the one half of my tank to scrub the two rocks.

Yes it is I have never fought any algae like this in my life, Thats why I had 3 people to identify it . To be sure what I had , Amcarrig had in on some L/Rock from ?? 2000 or so when she used the rock to set a new tank up. It totally over ran a 90 I gave up on it after 2 plus yrs of doing and trying everything known to the hobby. I had it under control I thought then boom it went crazy and we tore that tank down moved all the corals to a little 40 gal flat back hex then there where a few tufts in there but just stayed where they where , Then when against my better judgment I moved the rock with the coral into this newer set up it went off the charts crazy.

And while I was laid up for the 4 month and could not do anything it was off the hook with plenty of food.. Bur the other week Amcarrig ran up on a product that seems to be doing the job. Tomorrow will be the first 7 days in a 2 day treatment schedule and I see its fading fast now just looked and its almost totally gone will 90% is not to be seen now :) This new German product looks promising so far. Just hang tight for a few more days and I'll let you know what it does unless you want to throw a $100.00 at it also and try it to see if it works ?

    Bryopsis

2 questions. First is does anyone think that adding a powerhead near the bryopsis would help in making it die any faster. Second questions is I am going to do a water change tonight. I could manually pull it off the rock and then try to at the same time put the siphon at that exact spot hoping to suck in any algae spores from the bryopsis. What do you guys think?
    Thanks,
    Adam
