    Indeed. But if you were like me you kept doing this till you became convinced you were running a salt-swamp ;-)

    Phosphates and nutrients are valid issues as well. You can address those all day long but if you circ isn't on the mid-to-high end of recommendations for your tank and your tank is hot, in my experience, its a loosing battle.

    The frustrating thing for me was I always heard about phosphates and nutrients but few were talking about circ/temp as solutions.

    I could start a mangrove swamp! My kids have mudskippers and I though they would fit right in. Take a look at www.saltcorner.com for a fantastic web based library and many very good articles on reefing!
