Well after months of breeding I have managed a way to keep 90% of them alive and healthy to maturity. Basically a Tupperware container from the dollar store that i poked holes in and then i attach the container to the inside of my tank with a old left over power head magnet. This is going to sound weird but I also NEVER feed them. Feeding I believe leads to their death as well as moving them to a small tank. Also I do not take them out of the fathers mouth. I wait until he releases them into the tank. By that time they are large enough to eat on their own. I find that the holes in the Tupperware container allow rotifers and copepods to enter and meet their demise with the hungry guys. So now I have a 16 juvenile cardinals to sell to the LFS. I have a pic of one of the babies in my LTA anemone in my album.

    thats awesome.
i like the idea of tank bred fish (and corals) seems kinda like good karma making up a little bit for the things that get ripped from the ocean and sacrificed each time someones tank crashes, so K+
hopefully i'll be able to do the same one day
i'm not a hippie and generally dont feel bad about such things, but fish are cool lol.
