Are my clownfish pairing?

I have a 60 gallon tank that I bought about 4 weeks ago and has been doing great. I recently bought 3 true clownfish and two blue damsels. Everything was going great until one of my damsels freaked himself out and swam into the glass tank wall Then the other one just died unexpectedly ~Im having great luck~​

Anyway, now I'm left with the three clownfish. Two have been side by side a lot and chase the remaining clownfish off. They usually slap each other with their fins or tails, nip at each other, and twitch on their sides. I have been wanting to breed clownfish for a while now and I'm hopeing this is a progressive sign ;D What is your advice on this behavior and breeding?​

4 weeks ago and you had 5 fish in it already??? i would give u advice on slowing down, as i think a few others might, but as far as the clowns go for your sake i hope they live long enough to make it to breeding.

 

+1. let everything adjust so that your tank can can handle a bigger bioload. as for the clown i think they might be pairing, but then take the out the one thats by itself because the pair might kill it i think.

Agreed. It sounds like they are pairing up, and they will kill the third. So get him out as soon as possible!

 

Ok sounds like a good idea, I don't want my fish stressed out so I will either take the third clownfish back or put him in another tank
