algea problem/Sand is clumping

    Mowed the lawn yesterday! It took awhile but I hand pulled all the algea off the sand bed then changed out 7 1/2 gals. of water. The tank looks good. I'll wait to see how strong the algea comes back this time. My clown is sure upset though, he was hosting the algea? Crazy huh!?

    seems like clowns arnt to picky as to what they host mine have moved around from the powerhed, halmedia plant, clam shell, alge clip, power heads again and now my tree leather

    Had to come back to this thread and say thank you karla since I hand pulled all the algea out and have been doing water changes every two weeks instead of monthly the algea never came back. My sand bed now has a nice red hue to it I know this is some form of red algea but it never grows more than enough to give my sand a funky red tint no bubbles no hair just awsome! This pic shows about the worst it ever gets
