I have snails but as far as i Know there are no snails that eat Cyano bacteria( some one please correct me if im wrong?),cyano is half algae half bacteria so its a tricky one to treat I did how ever get 6 hermits that i think do eat cyano but really i just need to get to the bottom off what its feeding off (phos/nitrate) and sort out the sorce off it food! which is easier said then done!
    Thanks K

Photos are posted on the first page of this thread. I hate to say it but the green stuff definitely looks like bryopsis.

Hi here are some more pictures off the possible bryopsis.... I took the two main rocks out that had it and put them in my qt tank so i could get a good picture off it but its been in there 1 week with no lights as i forgot to put them on & the possible bryopsis is pretty dead really! but since treating my dtank for cyano & turning off the uv i have had more patches pop up around the tank! so i have tried to get a picture off it but its just so hard as its so small..........i have now put the uv back on & trying to think what the next step is!!!!
    Thanks K

Opps wrong pictures uploaded! Ill try again

Well all i did was a good skimmer clean & switch from 12 hour skimming to 24/7. Did my 2 filter cleans the way you said with tank water (they were very clean when i opened them i was kinda hopin they would be all clogged!) Then cyponed out as much cyano as possible before i treated twice over 6 days with a Artired red slime remover. I then did a 30-40 percent water change to remove the dead cyano & 3 days later all is good, i took my paras & all are a perfect 0 with no cyano! The treatment did state reef & invert safe but my button palps reacted very badly and one almost shrivled up and lost all its bristles bits round its edge!
But as for what the cause off the problem was ...... i really do not no! i only eber feed every 3-4 days a very small amount but i think it could have been my tank crash over christmas
    Thanks K

well it has been a long post and glad you figured some stuff out. Not happy about tank crash though and polyps shrivling up. If you keep your paramiters under control I am sure you can keep your outbreaks down. k+ on fighting the fight.
