    hello all,

here is my situation, I currently have two 150cm t5 rails each mounted with 1 jbl "marine day" t5 tube and one "marine night" tube (four t5 in total) i had a spare 101cm rail from my old 180l set up that i decided to mod on my 450 and it now sits perfectly in the middle of my tank in between the two larger rails.

my question is this, should i mount this little rail with 2 jbl marine blues and have it turn on and off before and after my "main" rails or mount them with one day and one night and have them run with the others? ooooor should i mount them with 2 day t5s for more white light?

so yea thats a total of 6 t5s 4 150 cm long ones and two 101 cm

    hope this makes some sense.....:s

these are the lights im using....no reflectors btw....

I like your blues plan with a dawn/dusk mode. 10 to 12 hours is more than enough light. I would cut back to a 10 hour light cycle per day. Dawn/dusk blues on for 10 hours with the rest coming on 1 hours after the blues and going off 1 hours before the blues do.
