hopefully in 4-6 weeks i'll be ready to start stocking my 125. what i would love is a V. Lion and maybe a zebra moray. what else would work with those 2 in a 6' 125? what kind of clean up crew (if any?) can i use?

    thanks!

    125 - awesome

Trigger fish would be good in a predator type tank

snails might be OK but crabs, shrimps etc - would be food

I was told to stay away from triggers - or at least the clown trigger that i really liked - with a lion fish. My original 3 main fish i wanted was the eel, lion and clown trigger, but after a couple you tube vids of a trigger eating the spines off a bigger lion i'm skeptical.

Is there any small groupers that would work? My fiancee and her 5 year old really want a "big red fish" . . . is there anything that fits the bill? Sorry for all the total noob questions, i just really want to get this right the first time.

    Hi Will
Groupers, get real large even a 125 starts to look small after a few months
Panthers are gorgeous in my opinion - but they grow so quickly is scary !

Clown triggers and Lions - Lions are fascinating for sure, but clown Triggers have personality

Big red fish? racking my brains and cant think of any big red fish suitable for predator tank
(maroon clown? or maybe thats unfair)

Try a marine betta. Super easy to care for.

Great idea on the marine betta, from what i read its even in the grouper family. I found a local place that has a 3' + zebra moray eel that someone turned in because they diddnt have a tank big enough to keep him as he grew. i hope they can hang onto him for another month :-/

Has anyone kept a clown trigger and a lion in a 6' tank? I'm really going to be torn if i have to choose between the 2. Thanks for all the ideas so far, keep em' coming!
