Hi guys. I'm from South Africa and I'm interested to learn a bit more about the ZT6600. There is a good description on the Zetlight website as seen below but I would also like to know some more detail.

Which LEDs are cree and which Bridgelux? As I understand it the 12000k 40W multichip x 2 are Cree and the rest Bridgelux.

The unit does not have secondary optics. What are the primary optics? Is it the standard 120 degrees and should the unit therefore be mounted relatively close to the water surface?

Has anyone here tried the ZT6600 and what do you think of them?

i can double check the optic but to be honest, I have 1 single 6600 cover close to 5ft tank only on its bracket. I am sure If I hang it higher it will be able to cover 5ft for sure.
As far as for the LED brands, I think you got it the other way around. the COB are bridgelux, RB and B are CREE and color LED/violet are all SEMILED or OSRM which i have to check as well for the color one

Thank you for your reply. The setup you describe is the same as the 3600 pro and it would make sense that they stick with the same setup. I would appreciate any further info you can provide regarding primary lenses and actual lens brands.

Do you have any information on lumens per watt as well. The zt6600 has 9600 lumens but their is must be obvious differences with the cob and single LEDs. It averages out at 48 Lumens per watt as it's a 200w unit.

I only have a 3 foot tank so the coverage is plenty but I was wondering about future tank upgrades. The light is very affordable in South Africa so it's a very tempting option if the quality and output is reasonable (not top of the range but better than average). Not 5w cree etc.

I have a 3600 pro and would feel comfortable on a 4ft tank, it would be great on a 3 foot tank. I don't think you would go wrong with a 6600

    Thank you for your reply.

Anyone else with he ZT6600? Maybe a picture of it over a tank. I know pics are often misleading colour wise but it's still great to see. I'll post some when mine is up and running towards the end of the month.
