a few years back i installed an x10 wireless home automation system for a client. in more recent months i had been thinking about purchasing a controller for easier management of lighting times, etc and decided i would have a go at the x10 system rather than any of the controllers on the market.

so here goes... out of the box you are provided with a transceiver, RF PC controller and i purchased a four pack of 3pin appliance modules. a quick download of the homeauto pro software gives me the ability to connect to the transceiver and start naming the appliance modules and assign module addresses which correspond to switches on the front of the modules. in the software each module has the ability to set timers for daily, week days, weekends and custom. i setup a few schedules for my light schedules on tank and fuge. also created a few modules for manual use of top off and WC.

upcoming going to try using their thermostat module for temp monitor/adjustment and using modded ato for auto WC with 5 or 10G buckets. thoughts?..

if anyone is interested in a saved copy of the program scheme let me know...

Yep that's the one. I'm battling some reception issues however I have all the programming and macros done for the most part. Now I'm working on a dual bucket setup with tsunami atos to perform a scheduled WC with the unit.

    Updates and pictures to follow.
