Hi, I am new to acquarium maintanence. I have a rectangular shaped tank/ The glass type is laminated. I want to know the weight of the glass i had used for bottom of the tank. So, it could help me to fill the contents accordingly. Provide some online tools to find it, as i am very scared of maths.

Why do you want to know the weight of the glass? How does that affect what you put in the tank?

my thoughts exactly.Roughly a gallon of water weighs about 8 1/2 pounds so really if you have a 10 gallon the bottom can hold about 80 lbs of water constantly as long as the silicone is good. plus not accounting for rocks and sand so about 110-120 lbs. unless you're using the glass for another application I wouldnt worry about the strength of the glass because it usually take a lot for them to Crack or break for that matter with weight.

edit: on surf trip. can't math at the moment but you get the idea.
