What is the best Reef Magazine?

Reefkeeping magazine is not going back to the old form it had in 2009.

Definitely support Coral, so we can keep it going in this economy. The only thing with Coral, each issue has a theme. If you have no interest in the "theme", there's not much to read in there. Like if the month is featuring octopus, most of the articles will be related to that. I've been subscribed since it came out.

 

Coral is the way to go!

 

I read lots of Coral, haven't picked up an issue in about a year though. They are solid IMO

 

I'd go for Coral, and reef hobbyist. I subscribe to aquarium fish international, tropical fish hobbyist, and coral, and coral has the most to offer. Also, aquarium fish usa has just put out a reef magazine, which is yearly, but still, worth a read, just to supplement the other mags. Coral, does have all those negatives, they mentioned, but is worth it, in the end.

 

Not many choices and not many worth paying for imo...

 

Is Coral Magazine still number one in our hobby?

 

Considering the age of this thread. The unfortunate reality is most of the magazines mentioned 2yrs ago are no longer in print. I sure enjoyed my year and a half of Dog Fancy... :-/

Coral is the only one I subscribe to anymore. TFHM is no longer fresh/salt balanced as it was. Mostly Fresh now.

Home | Reef Hobbyist Magazine - Your Coral, Reef, and Marine Fish Aquarium Magazine Mentioned earlier is now free online. It was always free in LFS. The only place around me that put it out wasn't my favorite to go to. It's a great magazine for free. The ads are not any more obtrusive than a paid magazine. Just a little thinner.

 

Is there any free trial offers or subscriptions to actual paper copy, through the mail, non digital, reef magazines?
