Wall hammer withering away.

Wall Hammers are particularly sensitive to bacterial infections because the flesh of the coral is cut when collecting and fragging it.They are also very sensitive to flow levels as the corallite structures are very sharp.

 

I did the dip last night before I saw this post saying not to use that specific dip. I also put in a different area of the tank when I put it back. Today its open and fuller than it has been in a while. I am going to try to feed it a little and see what happens over the next few days. I will post a picture again soon. Thank you for all the help.

And I have heard that wall hammers are tougher to keep. I do believe that things just die sometimes. I bought a green torch and a gold torch around the same time about a year ago. Gold torch looked shitty for weeks and the green looked great. Then one day the green started looking shitty and was gone in a week. The gold torch tripled in size and split. Just how things go sometimes..

No problem, that's why we're here. Our gold wall hammer started to recede at one point and found it was chemistry. They are tougher than branching euphyllia. Looking forward to the pics.
