Hello I've had this leather coral for two months. It looks to be rotting. Does anyone have any experience or input on what's happening? I'm starting to worry. About 2-3 weeks ago the base started to look like in the pic and slowly it grown this rotting look almost half way up the base now.

All my other corals are very happy. Pic below I just took 10min ago.

    My tank parameters are
    Ph 8.4
    Ammonia 0
    Nitrite 0
    Nitrate 0
    Calcium 420
    Salinity 1.026

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Chop off the base to clean healthy tissue, and dip the coral. Use fishing line or similar to tie it to an new place. Or even wedge the coral between rocks.
