I would want one with a built in timer.

This is the winner for me!

I'd like a clamping feature if you're building the whole fixture, but I also really like the idea of a par38 style bulb thats interchangeable in any fixture.

PAR bulbs are pretty big, and they can't use 3 watt leds IIRC.

They said under 65..No built in fans, no changeable leds. It's for a Fuge.. All red maybe one green one white. Doesn't need to be crees use bridgelux if you had too. I like the splash shield Idea as well

Agreed, will not go to the direction of changeable LEDS and no built in fans. remember we need to keep the MSRP low so it's affordable.

I'd gladly be a product tester too haha.. I currently have a eshopps frag of rack, filter sock holder, but and had a hob skimmer before I accidentally broke it while cleaning ^_^

I like the led, splash shield thing as well but lets talk about mounting it.

You should set it up on a neck so that it can hang on the side of the tank but you should also make the neck collapsible and come with screws so you can also mount it to the under side of your stand in case you need to mount it higher lets say you have mangroves or in case you just want it up and out of the way.

    ^^^^Does that make sense? lol

I would concentrate on heat dispersion, knowing the fixture was likely going to be mounted in a tight space. Personally I would mount mine to the top of the underside of the stand. So heat dispersion would not work via the top. As for LED colour I would try and achieve around 5500K. (Sorry don't really know much about colour of LED)
