    this anemone moved and was touching the hammer yesterday. I moved the hammer and the anemone hasn't moved, just expanded a bit. At closest point they are appt 1.5" apart. If anemone doesn't move, is it safe for hammer?

    Might be safe for the hammer, but not the nem. Your coral has night time sweeper tentacles that pack a potent sting and can reach out up to 6 inches.
