So I am a complete idiot!!!

Today when doing my WC I forgot to unplug my ATO and now my salinity dropped a few points. I have no idea how much ato water was added, but I need to know if since It happened within the last 5 minutes if it is too late to bring the salinity back up or If the damage is already done and i need to increase it slowly over time?

what is the tank size? how many point did it decrease? I would suggest leaving it alone and let it evaporate over time. If the ATO added the water then the shock from the salinity drop would be slowly over time. You don't want to make quick changes where it will shock your livestock.

I was afraid it was too late. I just wanted a second opinion. The entire system has ~60g, 55g DT and 35g sump with ~100lbs LR and 40lbs of sand. I will just let it evaporate out and hope my coral don't start a revolution.

You should be fine. If you have a sump, it was diluted in that before being pumped to you DT. Your tank should be fine.

I hope you are right. I have been working pretty hard trying to get everything as stable as possible and my coral were responding well and then i do something stupid like this.

Rapid drops in salinity are less serious than rapid increases. Just bring it back up very slowly.

Yeah, I assume you will be fine as well. I've had this happen from time to time and nothing jumped out of the tank. :)
