I know AWT is saying phosphate is good but I would recommend running some GFO. Both Phosphate and Silicated help feed cyano so this might be your source. On a side note, your potassium is a bit low. You might want to correct that. Where is your water for water changes coming from? Are you mixing yourself?

I thought so as well, so I am actually using 4 large bags of the Chemi Pure elite carbon in the system plus I have a phosphate reactor working. I am waiting to see what my water test comes back this month re; the silica

i am mixing my water myself. I use either the brightwell or the reef crystals. the RO unit is a 7 stage system with a reader to monitor the output

we did a big syphon again today, threw out the coral that has pretty much died & I will introduce the additional power heads to see if we have a differance.
we were making our own coral food mixture with a real seafood mix & blending it (very rich & the corals go wild over it), so from today we have diluted that mixture with sea water to thin it out a bit

its a waiting game now to see what happens

I'm not sure how effective the chemipure elite is on silica. It uses a resin based phosphate media which may not be effective on silicates.

You could consider spreading the feedings out (2-3). That way, less food goes unconsumed.

Gcarrol doesn't need newbie me to confirm his exceedingly experienced insight, but for the sake of repetition I'll agree. Phosphate is higher than I'd be comfortable with and I've rarely seen persistent red slime algae at or below 0.03 ppm. Try GFO, or maybe research EcoBak.

Like they said above. They are suck as much out as you can. I've had luck if the rock is removable run it under fresh water and scrub the area with a brush.
