    don't let them shatter your dreams, if you have the funds to spare and room to play i'd say go give it a shot! would be a great learning experience if nothing else. good luck, i'm expecting pictures! 8)

    You have a lot of enthusiasm for this hobby I will give you that.

    Since you live in S.Cal per your avatar profile, I think you should go volunteer at a LFS, public aquarium, anywhere you can be around what you obviously love.

    Good luck on your endeavors, just remember to get some experience with propagation before you take it on. You need to know the basic care and anatomy of anemones, and that only comes with experience before you attempt to frag or cut them, the same can be said for clams and most anything else.

    +1 You are probably talking a couple thousand dollars for those tubs, then a couple grand for lights, not including pumps, plumbing parts, supplements, and various other equipment. Its alot of money to put down on this project. Im not at all saying dont go for it, but clam farming is easier said than done. If you do decide to do this though, the first step would be researching depth the life cycle of a clam. Research research research!
